BANANA PANCAKE

Pancake, an english breakfast recipe, is a great recipe that kids would love. It is simple to make with few ingredients.

I have shown step by step procedure with pictures, to simplify making pancake. It goes great while eating with maple syrup. I have tried substitute with jaggery syrup, Karuppati(palm jaggery) syrup. Karrupatti is the one mainly used by our older generation, which is common in southern Tamil Nadu. It has great medicinal benefits. Have used banana in this recipe which can be replaced by any fruit pulp.

So give a try to this awesome recipe which your kids love it. This is one of the recipe which my kids love.


 

PREPARATION TIME : 5 mins.

COOKING TIME : 5 - 10 mins.

TOTAL TIME : 10 - 15 mins.

CAKES : 10 - 11.


INGREDIENTS:

Wheat flour - 1 1/2 cup.

Jaggery - 1/2 cup.

Banana - 3 - 4.

Baking powder - 1/4 tsp.

Egg - 2.

Water - As required.


METHOD:

  1. Take wheat flour in a bowl

  2. Add baking powder and mix it well

  3. In a saucepan dissolve the jaggery

  4. Add banana to the wheat flour and Baking powder mix and mash it

  5. Add egg and mix it well

  6. Add strained jaggery water and mix it well till a flowing batter consistency, if needed can add water

  7. Heat dosa tawa, once hot, take a ladle of batter and pour it

  8. Once bubbles form up, give it a toss in medium high heat .

  9. Serve it with any syrup or jaggery syrup.


PICTORIAL:

Take ur ingredients.


Dissolve jaggery in water.


Mix wheat flour, baking powder and banana and mash them.


Add eggs and mix it well.


Add strained jaggery water to it.


Mix well till you get a flowing batter consistency, by adding water if necessary.


In dosa tawa pour a ladle.


Once bubbles up give it a toss.


Serve hot with syrup of your choice.


TIPS:

  • Ripe bananas will give great taste.

  • Instead of banana can add any fruit's thick puree.
