Moong dal payasam is a healthy dish which can be given to any age group. It's best delicacy for all functions or party. This just takes few minutes u will yummy delicacy which can go straight into your tummy. It's rich in protein and iron content. Being mom of two kids both love this recipe so much they eat a lot. This so easy to make with just few ingredients in your kitchen. This will be great dessert.

Moong dal - 1 cup
Water - 3 cup
Jaggery - 3/4 cup
Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Cashew - 15
Raisin - 15
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Dry roast moong dal till nice aroma comes.
Wash moong dal, add water and pressure cooker it for 3 whistles.
Meanwhile, melt jaggery by adding little water, dissolve it and strain.
In a pan add ghee and roast cashews and raisins till golden colour.
In the same pan roast coconut till golden brown.
Once the whistle goes of mash the dal, then add 1/2 cup water and jaggery water. Allow it to come to boil and simmer it for 5 mins.
Before you turn off the stove, add cashew, raisin and grated coconut give it a toss.
Serve it hot.

Combine moong dal and jaggery. Let it come to boil.
Add cashew, raisin and coconut and give a toss.
Jaggery sweetness can be adjusted as per your taste.
The more coconut you add, it enhances the flavour.
By adding 1/8 tsp of salt, the flavour goes to next level.
